Older Adult Falls Prevention

The Older Adult Falls Prevention Program utilizes the evidence-based practice of the “Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance” program. This program works to reduce the number of falls, the risk and fear of falling, and improve functional balance and physical performance among older adults. We offer 12 week “Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance” workshops in cooperation with community partners. We also collaborate with community partners to further the goal of reducing falls among older adults.
