  1. Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health

    Maternal Child and Adolescent Health programs serve the health care needs of women of childbearing age, infants, children, teens, and their families.

  2. Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

    Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program is for income-eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding women and children under the age of 5 who have a nutritional need.

  3. Public Health Clinics

    The Public Health Clinics offer a variety of services, including adult, travel, and child immunizations.

  4. Public Health Nursing

    Public Health Nursing services are available to anyone in Humboldt County. Public Health Nurses serve families and individuals to better their health.

  5. Nurse-Family Partnership

    Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is an evidence-based, public health program that helps transform the lives of low-income mothers pregnant with their 1st child.

  6. Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program

    The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program works with Public Health Nursing, Environmental Health, the Child Health and Disability Prevention Program, and the Public Health Laboratory to prevent, detect, and eliminate lead poisoning in children under 6 years of age.

  7. Child Passenger Safety Program

    The Child Passenger Safety Program has free classes, car seat installation assistance and safety seat inspections to reduce injuries and deaths in children riding in vehicles.

  8. Family Violence Prevention Program

    The Family Violence Prevention Program uses many strategies for the prevention of violence in Humboldt County. These include trainings, community education, collaboration and referrals.

  9. Oral Health

    Dental disease is the most common chronic childhood disease; more frequent than hay fever and the common cold.

  10. Immunization

    The Public Health Clinic provides immunization services for all life stages, from infancy to those immunizations required for childcare, school, college entry, and beyond. The Clinic can also provide you with the immunizations and guidance needed for safe travel, and our nurse practitioner can help determine if malaria protection is indicated.

  11. Tobacco-Free-Humboldt

    Tobacco Free Humboldt (TFH) works to create a healthier Humboldt County by preventing and reducing nicotine addiction. The program works with community partners to create smoke-free environments and to increase the availability of free quit smoking resources.
